To Amitabh Bachchan - May 1 2009

“How odd is the logic of the mind - it seeks compromises when we are wrong, and it asks for justice when others are wrong !”
Really Brother!
Very true indeed.. the life takes steps further.. it does pain when one’s own contemporary lie inane and helpless in an ICU ward.. Oh so many people on your pay a hospital visit.. it disturbs yet it also pleases the mind that someone like Amitabh Bachchan too has time for hospital visits to his friends..

On Cricket front.. I read your views on Mahi.. He must really be a busy and a bit upset man.. his team has still not found his way back into to top four.. this despite the fact they are in good nick with both bat and the ball.. I think there is no point in seeking justice from him right now.. and you knew it better when you stopped John.. a good sportsman spirit..

I really feel that tournament is finally clicking well and the teams are all geared up to do as well as is within their capacities…

I feel today Mumbai Indians should find themselves on an easy wicket against the SRK’s KKR.. the same may not be true of KXIP as they take up RCB.. I see a greater contest in the second game than the first..

Today is also Maharashtra Day so I wish and extend my friends in India and abroad and in the state the very best.. By virtue of having spend more than half of my life in the state I should naturally qualify to be a Maharashtrian.. but my lack of Marathi knowledge does not help me much.. I am definitely on a wrong foot on this.. no compromise required on this.. I shall learn it at the first opportunity.. and then do justice to my Mumbaikar status..

It would only be very apt to name some top Maharashtrians on my list - Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak ( I am proud that I visited his house in Ratnagiri on Ganapati phule trip) is by far the most important Maharashtrian name that easily comes to the mind.. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar ( I learned about him when I first visited Cellular Jail in Port Blair) and Vijay Tendulkar ( I have only read his translations into Hindi long back during school days..) It would not be possible for me to name many others here from the contemporary men as I have little knowledge and interaction of Maharashtra.. I do follow cricket and the state has provided some of the finest cricketers in Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulakr, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ajit Wadekar and Eknath Solkar.. I think even Farookh Engineer played for Bombay.. Baba Amte is one more name that I must mention.. I do rate him very high.. I have only once seen a marathi paly Atma Gatha by Dr. Shriram Lagu in the lead role.. I could follow it quite a lot..

So much for Maharashtra day and so little for International labours day.. That is not fair Mr Sharma.. Well, International Labours Organisation interests me more than IAEA.. the condition of labour in the world is almost similar and with no compromises.. I have to admit.. it is still not as good as it should be.. The child labour should also be seen from this perspective and I feel we have a job to perform to improve the lives of our labour class.. in their prosperity lies our own prosperity.. in their well being our own well being.. in their success story lies our success.. if some day I was asked by people in authority to choose a new work environment.. I would not hesitate or think twice to seek an appointment at ILO.. (Now this is not politically motivated..not even one bit.. )

I think my post has taken a long route all over again.. I take a break..
Love to you and to the family (extended and Inner)

Day 365 - My Second Post..

” Nothing that you earn materially should come to you without being soaked in the sweat of your labor.”

The most respected brother
Sadar Pranam

Such words of advise seem only appropriate from someone who had lived his life in his own terms.. Oh! Dr. Bachchan.. why were you also not the father of this Abhaya Sharma.. with due respect to my father.. I once told my father in somewhat of an agressive mood.. jab paal nahi sakate thhe to paida hi kyon kiya thhaa.. I really feel ashamed of my those words whenever I remember the incidence.. I know Prabhakar Sharma - My father was no less in his love and affection for anyone of his eleven children.. he was naurally taken aback by my comments and in my life I saw for the frst time that he appeared repentant.. his face said more than any words could say.. my mother who was also in the room gave me the only slap to me ever by her.. and it was a bit too strong for her feminine make up.. I know it is not good to tell such things in public about oneself.. some of my family members would object to it.. yet I am the one who does not know how to hold back.. to check the free flow of thoughts from mind to whatever medium I use to express.. I don't now write with pen and paper as often as I would love to.. it is all right.. those of you who do not like please excuse me..

'main chhupaana janataa to jag mujhe saadhu samajhata
shatru mera ban gaya hai chhal rahit vyavhaar mera..'

These words describe me aptly.. whenever I have been on the losing side for my words I have felt that I should use some restraint.. but as someone like Ravi Malhotra once wrote.. one can not change his basic character so easily.. yes..despite all my efforts to hide the facts I ain't ever able to do so.. yes.. my words have put me in trouble earlier.. even at the blog..

Oh! you look far more academic than Sir Ben in the pitures.. and I must add I have no gains to follow by admitting what I have written.. I for one ar times not given due respect for my attire.. this time at Meesha's marriage.. Bins told me of an incident when he walked into house with a simple carry bag as his luggage was to follow by another flight or some such thing.. some one commented.. yeh kya tum guddu chacha ji ki tarah se thaila latakaye chale aa rahe ho.. It may not be known to fellow bloggers or you that I would simply pick a bag with un-ironed clothes and bare minimum money and proceed to Delhi totally unprepared.. being a class I officer.. I can only now imagine how much pain it would have given people back home then..

Now, The photographs you have been sending over here have been saying lot more than what I am able to express.. sometimes my words are not really able to gesticulate what I really want them to administer.. they fail to capture my inner feelings.. I can only say that my respect for pictures has improved tremendously.. over the years I had been more interested in the text than pictures.. I know I was wrong.. I was not aware of the magic that pictures hold...

So brother keep posting more pictures to us.. it helps us to know you better.. the expressions on your face.. the surroundings.. the atmosphere.. and even the colors they speak a lot. Of course, your words are equally precious to us.. so don't rob of us the regular posts.. reading and agreeing to what I have written here.. (and Rose this is not a witty but a reality.. I again admit.. I have poor sense of humor.. though you are able to discover it even in its absence..)

Love, Love and infinite love

Post Script: I don’t think any of my post could complete without the mention of IPL 2.. so here wish my second most favourite team Kings XI of Punjab to earn their first points on the board.. and if some of you still do not know which is my favourite team.. it indeed is Delhi Daredevils.. more for the fact that I spend eight most important years of my life as a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya at IIT Delhi and later Hindu College of Delhi University (1973 -1981)! And For Virender Sehwag.. who I read somewhere is also a KVIAN (Najafgarh).. like me..

So I wish that Yuvraj and Priety Zinta and Ness sit together work out a winning combination.. it is required.. Bangalore is not as weak as it was last year.. Pietersen is likely to deliver with the bat today..someone amongst Punjab should plan well for him.. I also undersatnd that Dravid is proving himself as the most useful batsman in this format as well.. find out how he an be controlled.. What exactly should be the team that should go out to fight the important game today is left upto you.. I feel Karan Has not done well enough as an opener and Chawla for his usefulness with the bat should be experimented to give the number three spot for brevity.. his early loss may not mean as much as that of Pathan or Yuvraj at that number.. Best of luck Yuvi and Priety.. I know the absence of Australians has hit you the hardest..

Day 359

Respected Brother
Sadar Pranam

First thing first.. I am back to the blog after two days.. I did take part in the marriage of dear Meesha.. yet I regret.. yes I seldom use this word.. I regret my inability to meet Ravi Malhotra.. not that I just promised to meet him.. more because I missed opportunity to meet him on two occasions in too recent past.. I am Sorry Ravi Sir.. first for missing a call from you on 16th April as you were returning from Mumbai to Pune.. and then not able to find an opportunity ( time would be a misnomer..) on two days on trot in Pune on 18th and 19th April when I was in your town..

I would not be missing from the blog entirely but I can always say that I would be seen less often or atleast in much smaller Avtars.. some of you who were bored with my long posts would heave a sigh of great relief.. that I would be busy with IPL 2 and here is the link to my only second article on IPL2..
http://abhayaipl2.blogspot.com/2009/04/first-two-days-of-ipl-2.html

Now Deccan Chargers have done well enough to register an eight wicket win over KKR and thus telling all of us to not read too much from what they experienced from them in the first edition..

Yes I did get to see the PPT from BigB Yahoo Group.. It was OK.. not such extraordinary as you have tried to put it to us.. I have seen wonderful PPT presentations.. and with missing presentations and repeatability of few names it did not go too well with me.. I had myself compiled some of your unforgettable pictures and presented them directly through Slideshow zilla along with the songs from your movies.. I know my site does not work in India or maybe nowhere today.. for whatever reasons.. yet I can bet one could get far too imaginative with presentations even with PowerPoint..

Now, this is not condemnation of such illustrious compilations by FM (not Frequency Modulated but Fatima Mahmoud.. sister excuse me if i have spelt you wrongly..).. I am sorry I came to know Zain Hussain for the first time.. It was great to know that Kishore worked with you on Mohabbatein.. I wonder in what capacity..

If I do not close this chapter here.. there would be far too many members of bigB group who would hurl all sorts of remarks and comments on my observations.. Fatima wrote to me once I had joined the group on introduction from none other than Gisele Barbosa.. may be that reminds I can try and provide the living legend for you folks there on her website.. which does work many a times in our country..

And Last but not the least.. Brother Heartiest Congratulations of completion of 1 year here.. may you continue to write as elaborately as you do and we too could extend it further with our views on the posts and sometimes off it too.. What follows below are my views and no one has to respect them or even debate.. I know I could be wrong in some cases.. yet I say..

The two most remarkable posts - one on Teji Bachchan's Birthday and another on reply to Jug Suraiya's TOI subverse.. (The post on Shobhit Kaushal was a close competitor to the second!)

The two most lovable female characters - Reeham and Rose (Reshmi Philip, Rochelle and Rasha Zayed, Kashmira Grewal, Preeti K. Carla Flum from Germany and Zhenya and Lena from Russia missed out very narrowly, Tumpa Ghosh and several others did make a competition)

The two most lovable male characters - Subhash Kaura and Ravi Malhotra (There were far fewer competitors – (Deepak T(aunk) and Deeapk B(hardwaj), Satyam bhai and Dr. SMS- Oh I should tell you that it means Dr. Shashi Mohan Sharma)

The two places described on the blog : Kanya Kumari and Kuala Lumpur (Paris and New York’s unforgettable tour!)

Two most lovable Quotes: Experience Speaks and Wisdom Listens and the other on Roses and Thorns ( There were far too many that I actually liked can’t recollect all!)

Two Characters I love most from your family- Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan (for his role in Delhi-6) Competition came from all immediate members of your family especially Smt. Teji Bachchan (Of course I leaned only enough of her after reading the autobiography of Dr. HRB and your account of her on this blog) and madam Jaya Bachchan for her role in Abhimaan)

More Later with usual love and affection

Day 356 Comments to AB's blog

Respected Brother
Sadar Charan Sparsh

Well, I was not expecting such a quick follow up to one of the most intense post from you on Dharker and traffic signals..

Yet I must say that you have lived upto much of our expectations in providing long delayed photographs.. I think the last time you posted the still camera results was during your KL days.. the quotations quite meaningful and Screen write-up impressive as well..

You seem to be working full time on blog.. bhaai aapki baatein padhakar bahut achchha lagata hai.. phir bhi ham to yahi chaahenge ki aap apni movies ki taraf bhi apana dhyaan barakaraar rakhen.. akhirkar amitabh bachchan ki movies ki baat hi kuchh aur hai.. By the way when is Alladin expected for a release.. Is the tussle with Multiplexes over.. can we not expect it to relese alongside IPL2 and elections.. I think I am asking a wrong question to a wrong person.. I should have asked the producers.. chalo khair.. puchh hi liya to koi bahut bhaari gunaah to nahi kar diyaa.. (smiling.. aapki apni film hai aapko bhi utni hi utsukata hogi jitani ham sab ko hai..)

I must say that Priyanka Sinha has done well enough in putting up a good reportage on the matter.. she seems to be in good control and more than that she appears unbiased in her approach.. I wish there be more of her clan in the field..

Kabhi sochata hoon
ki main chup rahoon
kabhi sochata hoon ki
main kuchh kahoon..

You may be wondering if the song could fit someone like me who writes so much and such long passages .. sometimes even with no editing performed.. smiling with tight lips..

chalo kal phir milte hain..
aaj ki mulakat bas itani..

Yet I must say that I am now turning towards becoming a fan.. something that I have been vhemently denying without anyone asking.. achchha lag raha hai.. bahut achchha lag raha hai.. pata nahi aap kya sochen.. par traffic par jo bhi aapne likha main khud bhi likhane vala thhaa.. par use padhata kaun.. bahut hi sahi baatein kahi hain aapne..

Gutten Nacht, Good Night, Shabba Khair, Shubh Ratri Sat Sriakal and Dus vi Danya..

Day 354 - Hindification Request..

...Happiness is everywhere. Engulfing every nook and corner with music and dance and light heartedness. Colors abound and bloom, objects of delight swing from tree to tree. The smell of auspicious marriage abounds. Excited bodies move about in their best…

Most Respected Brother
Sadar Charan Sparsh

It does make a good write up.. the description of the marriage and bhang ra of RGKV on the sets of India 24/7..

Well, who could be better than you to discuss and describe the event better than you the best reporter present on the venue.. It definitely augurs well for the film industry in some of its tough times.. when multiplexes issue.. the ensuing election's heat .. the IPL in the west wings.. terrorists efforts to engulf Pakistan.. and host of similar events that have put some kind of brakes on the films rather Hindi films on a hold.. only someone like you the living legend could lift the drooping shoulders and sagging spirits.. and yes you are quite successful in what you write here..

I chose to translate some of your most spirited words into Hindi.. no, not that I feel I am capable.. as Satyam did say that who could beat you at Hindi like who could beat Dilip saab at Urdu.. yet Though I did not get to read the comments at #22 which he was referring.. I myself is one who would request you to either not use Hindi or use an appropriate software, font if you decide to use it.. I do feel that it does not do Hindi a world of good if the biggest icon of Hindi Cinema has to use Hindi in such manner that it leaves someone in doubts about your Hindi Powers.. I hope I made myself understood if not exactly made my stand clear..

I would love to be of some help to you in this manner.. if it does not affect you and if you feel I am able to reflect your thoughts into Hindi well even if not a literal translation.. I would not mind doing what I have done today.. take a portion of your writeups and present it into Hindi.. it can not be brilliant for a simple reason that I am far off from Hindi than you could be.. I work in a field where Hindi has too little a role to play.. atleast in the present times.. yes science does not require any language yet there is no doubt that the best way science is available presently is through the most respected International language in English.

I also would not mince any words to say that your expressions in English are available and appreciated worldwide and if you do have to communicate on a global level there could not be a better medium than English.. with due respect and honour to Hindi..

You are doing quite well to create an atmosphere of love between what the audience thinks and reacts due to the gossip floating in the film journalism.. that Karan and RGV are not foes if not friends.. that the two individuals should not be seen in the light of light hearted remarks they might have made for each other.. to see the things in broader perspective and with a open heartedness we must learn to ignore the differences and highlight the harmonious environment not only in film industry but elsewhere too.. Easy said..

I love you as always and shall take up my self-assigned job of making your some of the statements into Hindi.. preferably with the English version at top.. so it does not leave scope for my inabilities with the two languages..

Love, Love and still more Love to Harshvardhan of India 24/7 I am sorry if I picked the name of your character wrong..

Amitabh Bachchan - April 7 2009 1:09 AM IST

Day 343 - Observation on Observations

.. Response and accusation cannot and will not be permitted to be one sided. One group of people shall not have absolute authority and the other not ..

Dear and most Respected Brother
Sadar Pranaam

Somewhere something has disturbed you a bit, from a positive frame of mind discussing Padmashri awarded to dear Aishwarya you took a sudden turn on to a different road. Well, when you are driving the vehicle (blog belongs to you), you are free to take the path you wish it to adopt..

We would definitely love to get your observation on some observations.. I can expect it to be having some of the remarks by some media men and yes media could also be present on the blog in a different avtar.. It is difficult to tell the bearer to not to bother of the pinching shoe.. he only knows it best ... I wish that you assess yourself in the best possible manner which you generally do..

I for one is likely get perturbed too easily when I hear a negative statement emerging from some of my positive contribution but it is normal for an ordinary man like me. Your case is not similar to that.. you can not behave like an ordinary person .. You got to take everything in your stride..

You have been far too generous to most of the people who read or love this blog by making your most valuable time available to us.. most of the times in a highly positive sense and note .. yet if some observers or fellow bloggers see it in different tones.. one is likely to get disturbed.. It is extremely difficult to not to put forth one's own counter view in such a context.. It is natural..

I would not mind people for what they say to me.. I do not have any image or standing of my own.. yet I would not agree or suggest that you too should follow the suit.. You have worked diligently for four decades to earn the love and respect of millions and billions of man and woman in the world.. you have achieved it most deservingly..

Those who seek some name for themselves.. they find it easy by voicing their opinions against the mighty and celebrity in nature.. that sadly has become the order of the day.. and with such a huge following you become an easy target.. they expect people to take note of their views featuring you in a poor light.. even if it is with a negative bend of mind towards them.. aaj log badnaam hone mein bhi apni shaan samajhate hain.. I pity such minds .. I can only pity such minds ..

Under such situations to such people.. I can only offer the fllowing.. Instead of trying to erase the line drawn by others try to draw a bigger line.. That it takes more time to draw a bigger line people prefer the path of erasing..
