Day 672

Respected Brother
Sadar Charan Sparsh

You bring us pride every time you write of yourself in such august company as could be treated as the most powerful.. we take pride in your achievements.. as if we have achieved what you achieved.. does it sound too optimistic.. no, no we are indeed keen on knowing the great strides that you have made not only as an actor but also as a super human.. I personally bow down to touch your feet.. to be blessed as someone who knew you even if not met you.. it is a matter of great honour to just know you.. and to have known you for forty years speaks of some strange satisfactions in personal life.. you are a blissful person and we all belong to the country together.. a country which is so unified despite all its diversity.. a country that has a cultural and social heritage that wounds (the verb form of wind and not the wound the noun..) into magnificence so easily.. we are indeed rich by having Amitabh Bachchan on our side of the earth.. thank you brother for being born as an Indian for being born as one amongst us.. how could we ever pay our debts to Dr. Bachchan and Shrimati Teji Bachchan for giving birth to iconic yet very humanlike Amitabh Bachchan of Hindi Cinema..

I am sure I would not miss the Teen Patti at any cost.. I might as well pick some time to view Rann in cinema hall some day.. I wish the brother of millions of Indians and world poplulace the very best at every single moment of his life..

I take leave of you rather arbitrarily.. yet I must confess what Gordon Brown has achieved with you talking so highly about him.. it is no small matter that the powerful men in the world recognize and assert your powers as an actor.. Thank you Mr. Brown for all the nice and kind words.. and here is a joke to share from Sir Ben Kingsley.. I am not only going to meet the God I am going to act along with him.. he was picture perfect in Gandhi and even if he said what he said in the lighter moments.. he was not far away from the truth.. I am sure Teen Patti would be a great movie to watch and enjoy in theatres..

Ha! I said a lot of after taking the break.. usual me.. do not know how i shall end the conversation with you.. I never want it to end.. but end temporarily it must.. smile bhaai.. smile in the mirror.. no, no, not the Mumbai mirror but the mirror of the whole world..

Respected Brother
Sadar Charan Sparsh
I come back again with this song which I rate as one of the best from your film Yaraana..
Bhole o BholeVo roothadil tootamere yaar ko mana levo pyaar phir jaga de…
Oh let the people watch it on youtube..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjnDFRNUEzY
Oh you were so wonderful in that song sequence I am sure even Amjad Khan’s smile in between is a proof of how good you were at your art and craft..
Have a great day.. and I wish Aishwarya gets over her throat infection.. her fever.. her swallowing and other difficulties at the earliest.. oh sometimes the media men can get just too nasty but then you have been living with their nuances for four decades now.. gussa thook do bhaai.. un kaanon par joo nahi rengane vaali.. ek kahavat hai.. kshama badan ko chahiye chhotan ko utpaat.. you are much above them in almost every way.. ignore their mistakes..
Love Regards and Respect
Abhaya Sharma
PS I hope the doctors advise on her condition has been sought.. yet I believe in Abhsishek’s funda.. araam badi cheez hai munh dhak ke soiye.. let her relax and take the much needed rest.. Take care

Amitabh's post of day 660 - Reply Post

Wonderful account of a repast from the past..
Oh! you took along me to those days that I too would have spend with the same vigour and same zest and equal amount of lovability of the days bygone..

Respected Brother
adar Charan Sparsch

The morning television as it was switched to Times Now not to hear the news but to find about if the Aman Ki Asha would be there sometimes.. The frame caught you reading those beautiful words of Gulzaar Sahabs pen.. and to my surprise the announcement that there is going to be a very special weekend with Amitabh Bachchan.. oh! I should not have taken your name.. forgive me brother.. It made up my day.. just the news of it..

Then cam and settle down in front of the Internet.. oh what a glorious vivid account of what some prefer to call history in the realm of today.. There is no doubt that I shall read it one more time if not many more times.. How much close you were to us then than now.. that account of Holi and the rest of it.. simply very exciting.. of not having the luxury of summer holidaying.. of the great fun had outdoors till the dark set in.. that great enthusiasm to get prepared for some special friends party or even the description of the summer extravaganza.. it all sounded so very similar.. it all sounded as if you were not telling your story but our stories.. that you as a human being has definitely recalled your past with such clarity and elan that an Abhaya Sharma can never ever emulate.. yet I shall make an effort to versify some of it.. not today.. not immediately.. but not in distant future.. I shall definitely make efforts to do it in prose if poetic mood does not encroach me easily.. I know I can not write poetry at wish alone.. I have never been able to do that.. it just has to happen on its own.. to be precise know I can not plan it unlike the prose.. so be it.. let us hope that I am able to do it.. not to please you.. not even to test my Hindi skills.. yet just to express myself alongside you as I do it.. bhaai! tussi great ho! Tussi to chha gaye!! mazaa aa gaya!!!

AB on Authority - Day 651

Respected Brother
Sadar Charan Sparsh

Authority is of two types.. one kind is bestowed by the system upon you by your position and the associated responsibilities that come with it.. the other kind is the authority that you earn by your good responsible actions.. you brother fall in the second bracket of authority.. and it derives from what I have just said.. the authority that has been earned rather than thrust upon us is more valuable and at times more rewarding.. you are an authoritative actor and a human being.. and when I say this I mean every word of it.. you are what you are for the painstaking forty years of hardwork that has been put up without the slightest remorse.. India looks upon you as an esteemed actor who not only knows his craft too well but also someone who constantly works to retain his image over the years..

Let us leave it lest it sounds like a sycophant.. a sycophant that I never ever was.. being sycophant is what I desist.. I don't hate anything anymore so the word desist.. I had recently learned that hatred is the only thing that we really need to hate.. I am in no authority to judge myself.. is true to an extent yet if we do not exercise some authority on our acts.. others will show their authority to brand and label us.. I see authority more of a restraint and an exercise for self-improvement.. it could be true for an individual and also for the system.. I have no authority over myself in some ways and do exert authoritative opinion on some of the subjects.. one such subject is Amiabh Bachchan, another could be Indianity yet another could be cricket.. there could be some authority in my writings.. sometimes easily visible and at times only visible to those who have an unbiased mind to find..

I think I have unduly spoken on authority beyond what is allowed to me.. if one remembers with authority comes the duty half our jobs could be executed unassumingly and without a prejudice..

I abruptly end the discussion here and change the course.. let us talk something light.. let us talk about cricket for instance.. South Africa the Protean are in the land to play a Test and ODI series.. I am in no authority to exert my influence on the BCCI to play more of T20 International cricket.. they are not responsible to me.. they would rather not listen to what I have to say.. That is what authority means in some of the words in the world.. I wish South Africans a Gala time.. if Kapil Dev's words are paid heed to the wickets in the forthcoming series could be slow and turners.. no, no, I am not against his stand.. he is an authority on cricket like you are an authority in Cinema.. So you see.. the word authority could actually be used both in positive and sometimes in the negative sense.. Some more examples of authority..

Professor Har Gobind Khorana is an authority in Biological chemistry..

Leander Paes is a proven authority in Tennis doubles..

Viswanathan Anand's authority in the game of Chess is well known..

Saina Nehwal has stamped her authority on the Badminton court..

Amir Khan's authority on producing marketable films is self-evident..

Sachin Tendulkar has proved his authority as a cricketer with 90 hundreds in International cricket..

Now, I would have been expected to speak something for the negative use of the words.. I decide not to speak.. I have no authority to judge others negatively.. yet some abstract thoughts should be laid down here for others to discuss and debate..

Having Nuclear weapons helps achieve authority..

Sending a criminal to the guillotines is also an authority..

Spending country's revenues wisely or unwisely is also one kind of authority..

Drawing boundaries between nations.. dividing lines between people and destabilizing nature.. are all in the hands of authorities..

I think the post is getting boring with me not able to make much readability in what I want to say especially when I have no authority..

Take care of your good self.. aur haan bhaai is tarah ki debates jo aap ham logon ko paros dete ho.. achchhha lagata hai.. You are raising good debates and discussion amongst us.. and making good use of your authority.. Keep it up..

Amitabh's Blog day 648

Dear Mr. Vijay Harshvardhan Malik ( Rann )
Good Morning to you! And all the listeners and readers of the blog..

It seems you have lived your reel life in its real values.. well written even if unedited post.. long, Lovely and lasting impression that it has made does it go on to promote media or say devour it.. it goes on to do the best.. suggests..

Plenty of issues.. much of it too current.. most written with an open view and appears as transparent as you wish others to be.. do unto others as to what you expect from them.. well thought out post.. simply amazing.. does casting in the role of a News channel owner in reel life transformed you into the one in real life.. I wish it did.. you are s forthright.. so imaginative and informed that if implemented with good intent the issues can not remain unanswered for far too long.. whether IPL.. or any of the major current events that you compiled in this one post.. it would take time for someone as naive as me to really fathom the actual depth of the issues leave alone the solutions...

Yet coming back to one issue in particular IPL 3 and private mode of the IPL.. I tend to disagree with you.. some thing which is meant for public even if run privately can not be visualised privately alone.. who would not know of the various times that sports have been overshadowed by political atmosphere as has been amply provided by you in terms of Moscow and more.. what Abhaya Sharma asks brother is that - Is it really good to allow political intentions to be intertwined into sports.. even if there are precedence would any organiser of any kind of games would ever like the idea of the boycott.. and this Pakistani cricketers boycott does not even seem to have known roots.. what has caused the angst is quite unclear.. if the honourable home minister is to be believed there is not slightest connectivity of government to the decision.. yet the decision to exclude Pakistanis has been quite visible to all.. and here I had also said if Afridi decides to sit out he would be caught on the wrong foot.. that is if he vehemently opposes any operations to settle the issue amicably.. I have been involved quite deeply with IPL 1 and even IPL 2.. I know its good in the first place.. only exclusion of some of the top names in the game only warranted a reaction from me.. stick to my guns.. I would not watch IPL 3 if there are no Pakistanis in the IPL teams.. I have my reasons.. I see sports and cricket in particular as that bridge that can be used to pacify the disturbing atmosphere and relationship that has been building between two countries over last six decades more so in the recent times with terror strikes in Mumbai on 26/11.. do we want to try to come closer to each other or we wish to be removed further away shunning each other one every possible issues.. we would be doing disservice to two great leaders in Gandhi and even Jinnah.. I know people have different opinions of the latter.. yet I think the only grave mistake that Mr. Jinnah made was formation of the Indian Muslim league and departing away from congress.. and that was encashed by British to divide us.. no, I would not watch IPL 3 devoid of Shahid Afridi and Gul in particular.. even if the Pathan chooses not to return on a rethink.. the onus in that case would lie with him.. I would protest against him not joining as well as protesting aginst the teams not picking him.. so you see my stand is unilateral.. I want both Afridi and Gul to be a part of the IPL besides Tanvir, Misbah, Razzaq and Malik.. there could be many more..

I have a poor understanding of the several other issues that have been brought forth by you here.. especially the Australia's behaviour.. yet I simply ask.. when we have Maharashtra, Telangana and many other divisive forces discriminating among Indians the Australians are not alone.. and I have been given a picture that is not exactly as bad as what we think of it sitting here listening to some of the hyper stories on the idiot box.. I have people who stay there.. I know there are lot of Indians who think that the matter is being blown out of proportions.. no, no, I have not decided to just go diametrically opposite to your views.. I don't even know your views except that as an Indian you did not accept the doctorate from and Australian university.. fair enough.. but we must look upon ourselves that whether we are not ourselves involved in the discriminatory methods against each other.. who is there to lead us away from all sorts of forces that are at best disruptive in nature within the country.. tomorrow if there are ten more states coming up in India is it going to be good or bad is unknown to me.. but the grounds on which these states are being demanded is definitely not the kind of India that our father of the nation Bapu or Mahatma would have thought us to be like.. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi always came second to my mind after Bhagat Singh yet I respect him quite a great deal.. his ways were radically different and quite productive..

I have read verses from Soot ki Mala and Khaadi ke Phool by Dr. Bachchan from the recently purchased Meri Shrestha Kavitayen.. and his writings provide a much greater understanding of the man than I had before.. My respect for the father of nation is n the rise.. MKG must thank Dr. Bachchan for such a vivid and clear description of the man who was not well understood then and even now..

I wish I had the book here with me I could share atleast a few of the well compiled verses from someone literary acclaimd as Dr. Bachchan on internationally most acclaimed world leader in Mahatma Gandhi .. I shall do that later in the day without fail.. that alone could be the best tribute from me to the reverred father of the nation.. I always loved you Bapu.. Now I love you a little more…

I come to conclude this post for the time being.. please do not feel that I had written anything to be too adamant on IPL issues.. it is only my ambition that has been raised here in that connection.. If Sehwag could make a slot available for inclusion of Afridi in Delhi Daredevils I would just love him a little more than I already love him for his flamboyant style of batting.. even if he gets out whenever I tried to watch his game.. the coincidence can not take away the credit from his great batsmanship in modern form of cricket.. I am sure Sir Don Bradman (if he watches cricket from heavens) and Sir Vivian Richards would agree fully well with me.. he is unique.. he is imaginative.. he is ruthless and yet he is lovable.. I liked his ad in support of Indian Hockey well done Viru.. but does India play in the world cup despite it being organised here.. it should have been.. I know.. still I read somewhere that they are not.. the hosts always find themselves an entry and if India has been denied this by world hockey it is unfair.. let it be..

Love regards and respect
Abhaya Sharma

Maa to akhir maa hoti hai..

Day 590
